THE GREEN DOME (2021 - ongoing)
THE GREEN DOME is a multimedia installation, walk-in sculpture in the form of a roofed dome with a floor space of at least 50 m2 outfitted with screens, projectors, real and fake plants, a floor made from soil, wood and plants, scent-sprayers, and a surround loudspeaker system.
THE GREEN DOME project aims to offer an interface in which visitors can listen to and come into communication with plants. Through new algorithms, THE GREEN DOME translates plant language. This enables a sensory-opening, diverse and sensitizing encounter between humans and plant species.
THE GREEN DOME is based on Suzanne Simard's works on plant neurobiology. Dr. Simard and LINV are active consultants of the project.
